IBT Local 210 represents approximately 500 Flight Attendants employed by World Airways, Inc., an air carrier whose parent company is Global Aero Logistics, Inc. (GAL). GAL is also the parent Company of North American Airways, Inc.

World Airways is primarily a charter carrier and the majority of their business consists of the movement of military personnel and supplies. World has also operated a scheduled civilian flight for the past eight years, but that service is scheduled to cease in May of 2010.

World Flight Attendants have a five-member Council consisting of the following Flight Attendants:

  • Kat Marshall - Council Chairperson
  • Janice Bertilacci - Councilmember
  • Rob Hagemeyer - Councilmember
  • Brian Mee - Councilmember
  • Bonnie Wells - Councilmember

The World Airways Flight Attendant contract is not amendable until September 30, 2012, but due to the everchanging nature of the airline industry in general and military operations specifically, the World Airways Councilmembers are constantly engaged in dialog with management to deal with the complex nature of the World Airways operation.

World has not yet announced it anticipated operation hours for 2010 or whether it will be able to replace the flying time currently provided by its scheduled-service civilian flight.
